Legal disclaimer.
Momitate exists to hand a mom a few grounding words when she has almost none left. It is companionship and encouragement — never a medical, therapeutic, or emergency service. Here is exactly what that means.
The official disclaimer.
Momitate is a moment to catch your breath. It is not medical advice, therapy, or crisis support. By using Momitate you agree to our Terms of Use.
That sentence is the whole of what Momitate promises, and the whole of what it does not promise. Everything below is the same idea written out so nothing is buried.
What Momitate is.
Momitate is a short, personal moment of reassurance made for a parent in the middle of a hard minute. You describe what is going on, and Momitate writes and reads back a few warm, grounding words.
It is built to help a mom pause, breathe, and come back to her day a little steadier. That is its entire job.
What Momitate is not.
Momitate is not any of the following, and never should be treated as any of them:
- Not medical advice. Momitate cannot diagnose, treat, prevent, or explain any medical condition, including postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis, anxiety, or infant care questions.
- Not therapy or counseling. Nothing in Momitate is a substitute for speaking with a licensed therapist, counselor, doctor, midwife, or other qualified professional. Using Momitate does not create a clinician-patient relationship.
- Not crisis support. Momitate is not monitored, is not a hotline, and cannot send help. It cannot recognize an emergency or respond to one.
- Not a guarantee. The words Momitate writes are generated for encouragement. They may occasionally be off-base, incomplete, or simply not what you needed to hear.
Decisions about your health, your children, your medication, or your safety should be made with a qualified professional, never on the strength of a Momitate.
If something is truly wrong.
If you or your child may be in danger, or you are having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, please contact emergency services or a crisis line right away. In the United States and Canada, call or text 988. In the UK, call 999 or 111. In Australia, call 000 or 13 11 14. Elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists free, confidential support in your country.
Momitate also keeps a Quick Exit on sensitive screens. It clears what you have typed and replaces your screen with a neutral page. It cannot erase your device's earlier browser history.
Written by a model, read by a synthetic voice.
Every momitate is written by an artificial intelligence model and, in Listen mode, read aloud by a synthetic voice. The words are not written by a person, a therapist, or a mom who has lived your exact day, and the voice is not a real person.
The words are never stored on our servers after your moment ends, and your name, email, and identity are never sent to the writing or voice models. How your information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Your agreement.
By using Momitate you confirm you are at least 18, and you agree to our Terms of Use, which cover acceptable use, the limits on how moments are created and shared, and the fact that Momitate is provided as-is. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep, what we never keep, and how to ask us to remove your information.
If anything here is unclear, or you would like it said more plainly, write to info@momitate.com and we will fix the wording.
Read the Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy whenever you like. You deserve the breath.
